River Republic

FAQ

1. What time do gates open?
Friday 12noon. Music starts at 16:00.

2. How far is River Republic (Round The Bend camp) from Cape Town?
230km (approx. 2.5 – 3hr drive)

3. Can I bring alcohol into the event?
Yes but it can only be consumed at your campsite or paid for accommodation. You cannot bring your own alcohol into the Main Arena. As it’s a small affair, we rely on the moola from our bar sales to have the boodle to bring back the beats next year. But we promise to serve all our drinks at great prices.

4. Where do we park?
As you enter the festival gates you will park in a large field (24hr security). From there a shuttle service will pick you up and take you and your gear down the hill to the campsite, accommodation or festival arena.

5. Can I camp next to my vehicle?
Unfortunately not. There is not enough space down at the camp for vehicles.

6. Can I bring along my gas skottle or cooker?
You sure can! But please no open fires will be allowed.

7. Where can I get drinking water?
Drinking water will be supplied inside the lodge itself but for those who would prefer, the bar will sell 500ml bottled water.

8. Can I draw cash during the weekend?
Not via an ATM. We will have card facilities at the bar and the food vendors will have card machines or Snapscan. But if you’re desperate for cash during the weekend you will be able to draw from the main lodge bar but you will be charged a commission fee.
